In life, we are sometimes faced with the difficult realization that we or our loved one cannot continue to live independently. So begins the difficult journey of finding quality care at a skilled nursing facility that feels like home.
Here at Whispering Pines our homelike setting creates a feeling of community that benefits residents and brings comfort to families. Whispering Pines employees make it their individual and collective responsibility to demonstrate a caring spirit, encourage friendships, and always provide the best possible health care. By caring for one another, Whispering Pines fosters a safe, nurturing, and healing environment.
Strongly Rooted in Our Community
Over 50 years ago, Whispering Pines was born from a dream of a few Christian women who had a passion to care for the elderly of Porter County. Since its inception, Whispering Pines has grown into a compassionate, long-term care facility with a ratio of care givers to residents higher than most nursing homes in Northwest Indiana.
People Before Profits
Whispering Pines is a nonprofit, stand-alone health care center owned and operated by the Porter County Council of Church Women. Our mission continues to be the same it was over 50 years ago — to provide quality, compassionate, long-term nursing care while respecting the dignity of life.
It would be our pleasure to give you a tour and to provide you with more information about our personalized care.
