The "Wall Upgrade" project is DONE!  Now we start the "NEW VAN" project.

Our New Initiative:  Buy a larger van that can accomodate up to four wheelchairs and ten to fifteen seated passengers (residents).

We are asking for grant money and donations to help Whispering Pines buy a larger van.

Currently, we can only accomodate two wheelchairs and six seated passengers.  This causes a problem when we have outings scheduled, because we do not have room for everyone who wants to go on the outing/function.  The residents have to take turns on who gets to go.

At least monthly we try to go out to lunch or on a shopping trip or even to the gambling boat.  These trips mean a great deal to the residents who live at Whispering Pines.  It is very difficult to tell someone that it is not their turn to get to go.

Any help towards this project through donations would be most welcome.

Please contact Rosemary Weeks ( This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ) to contribute.  Or you may send your tax-deductible contribution to Whispering Pines Health Care Center, 3301 N. Calumet Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana  46383.  Please be sure to specify that your contribution is for the "NEW VAN" project.

Your contribution will help enable all of us (residents) who wish to go on an outing GO.  Right now we have to take turns because our van is only big enough for two wheelchairs and six seated people.

Thank you so much for your support.
